Sodeman Leads Local Charge Against All Stars, Back to Work in Western Pennsylvania

NORTH JACKSON, Oh. (May 17, 2016) – Second generation racer Jack Sodeman Jr. led the local charge against the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions on Friday night, May 13, at Lernerville Speedway, finishing 15th at the final checkers against a stout field of local and regional talent. Sodeman, a former wing and non-wing main event winner at the Sarver, Pennsylvania, oval, finished higher than any other “local” contender during the 30-lap, $5,000-to-win, main event, setting a positive tone for the rest of the 2016 season. The lone All Star appearance of the 2016 season at Lernerville Speedway attracted 41 entries.
“We were pretty happy with how things turned out on Friday night,” explained Jack Sodeman Jr. “Of course, we wanted to be closer to the front, but we’ll take that experience and move forward with it. The All Stars have a great group of guys racing full-time this season. Mix that in with some Central Pennsylvania starters and a few other outsiders, and you have yourself an awesome field. We’ll take Friday night as a positive and move into the weekend with a goal to win.”
Jack Sodeman Jr., pilot of the Glassmere Fuel, Economy Tooling, PRS Transit, Townsend Gas & Oil, Inc., Butlerbuilt, Keizer Aluminum Wheels, Simpson Race Products, Triple X Race Components, No. 23Jr, will now turn his focus back toward weekly competition at Lernerville Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park this Friday and Saturday, May 20-21. Lernerville Speedway will host a standard Fab-Four program on Friday night, May 20, with Mercer Raceway Park also hosting a weekly event on Saturday, May 21. Sodeman will enter the pair of Western Pennsylvania programs currently second in each championship chase.
