The night started out well, starting 5th in his heat Sodeman fought his way to the front but fell one spot short to Lynch for the checkered flag. Even with his 2nd place heat finish he drew the 7th starting position for the feature. Sodeman was working the field and made his way into the 5th spot, but in attempt to get himself into the top four he fell back into the 8th spot. Sodeman kept his spot fighting off Lynch and Felmle for the finish.
