The Firecracker Late Model Race at Lernerville saw the 23Jr heading to Thunder Mountain Speedway.
Sodeman started 6th in his heat race and quickly made it up to 3rd battling with Dan Shetler for position but Bobby Howard would win heat race one.
The redraw for the feature was done with numbers in a Frisbee. Jack chose the Pink One and was set to start 3rd. Racing For 3rd position contact from Andy McKisson sent the 23jr spinning with front end damage. Repairs were made and Jack would tail the field. On lap 8 once again lady luck would not be on Jacks side as contact from Lyndsay Enscoe sent the 23jr off the track with front end damage again, giving the 23jr a 17th place finishing spot
